Kick it into high gear. The Vortex V-8's high performance and superior maneuverability is achieved by combining patented Nature's Wing® Propeller Fin Technology with state-of-the-art materials. The V-8 is designed to provide greater thrust while reducing muscle fatigue. The dual blade design allows the diver to make a much more efficient flutter kick, thus reducing the amount of effort needed to propel the diver through the water.

REVIEW by Dive Gear Reviews
Oceanic's Vortex V-8 is essentially a bargain-basement split-fin, making it a logical choice for divers who want split-fins without paying a premium to get them. The fin boasts composite construction with side channels, and a soft, open-toe foot pocket with a big thumb loop on the strap. In terms of performance, the fins deliver average power and maneuverability for a minimum of effort. The fins are lightweight (less than 2 lbs) and about two feet long, making them travel-friendly if not actually travel-ready. On the downside, the fin is negatively buoyant, and therefore demand tight control when taking them off and getting back on the boat. The Vortex V-8 is essentially a flexible split-fin with only a few frills and delivers good performance at a reasonable price tag. It comes in blue, yellow, black and ice blue.
