A diving regulator is a pressure regulator used in scuba or surface supplied diving equipment that reduces pressurized breathing gas to ambient pressure and delivers it to the diver. The gas may be air or one of a variety of specially blended breathing gases. The gas may be supplied from a cylinder worn by the diver (as in a scuba tank) or via a hose from a compressor or a bank of cylinders on the surface (Snubling). This set-up includes a “first stage” and “second stage”.

As a nearly universal standard practice in modern recreational diving, the typical single-hose regulator has a spare demand valve fitted for emergency use by the diver’s buddy, typically referred to as the octopus (secondary regulator) because of the extra hose, or secondary demand valve.

Scuba Gauges, are also known as Submersible Pressure Gauges (SPGs) or a Console, contain a pressure gauge, depth gauge and sometimes a dive computer.

Kirk Scuba Gear carries many different SPG’s (gauges) from an assortment of manufacturers.
