Shopping was sometimes hectic in the past because it involved travelling from store to store, but online purchases are convenient and save time and energy.
 
Online shopping with kirkscubagear also saves you money. The one drawback of online shopping is waiting for your order, which can take up to two/two and a half weeks. On occasion, the product is temporarily “out of stock” or back-ordered from the manufacturer.  If you cannot wait, you will receive a refund.
 

Product specifications, colors, sizes and other options may be changed by manufacturers without advance notice to me.   The products as described on this site are as accurate as the info I receive.  In addition, product availability may change without notice and products may be discontinued without advance notice. 

Although I make every effort to ensure that all the products shown on my website are available, I cannot guarantee every item’s availability. 

kirkscubagear’s online business does not stock products, but orders are filled quickly.
 
My business is an e-commerce, online business.   My products come directly from the manufacturers, their distribution centers or suppliers, located in the U.S. All prices are in U.S. dollars.  There are next to no manufacturers in Canada of dive gear. This is unfortunate for Canadians.  
 
With Canadian orders you have a choice of shipping--UPS or USPS. All product(s) shipping rates are based on weight (obviously a wetsuit will weigh more than a snorkel)   USPS takes a bit longer (2-2 1/2 weeks but helps eliminates costly brokerage/duty fees, (and is a touch more costly). USPS orders come through Canadian customs. (customs can hold up an order before they release it, this is out of my control) USPS does not ( UPS does!!!!) provide a tracking number---you will receive a Customs Declaration number only with USPS shipping. UPS orders can be delivered faster, and tracked all the way on its journey, however you pay brokerage/duty fees when the order arrives at your door. Want your product in a hurray? UPS is the way to go, however shipping is expensive and you will pay brokerage!!!! Tax is always collected by the Canadian Gov't (or overseas gov'ts) at time of delivery. Check with your countries rules and regulations about shopping online.
 
  MOST "Yak" kayak and canoe products
are small and a mininium weight.  (Shipping $6.00).   Please use the special shipping code as indicated on the product. Heavier "Yak" products, anchors etc do not  qualify for this rate---proceed to check-out. 
 
 Darkfin Gloves/booties shipping rate is only $3.00--use the discount code as indicated on the product.
 
 
 
Scuba Tanks because of their weight are shipped via UPS only.
 
 
 HOW TO ORDER:
 
Complete the check-out for all products, unless they contain a link to an affliate of mine. You are then taken to another site to complete your purchase. Any purchases completed this way are tracked by my affliate to benefit kirkscubagear, and offer my customers more product selections. 
 
Any purchase can be invoiced through Pay Pal for your convenience. No Pay Pal account?---no worries, Pay Pal will offer you an option to pay with a credit card!! Special sales promotions will be explained.  No C.O.D accepted.  Cheques/e-cheques will be accepted, however the cheque must clear before the order is processed.  This will delay  your order. I do not process credit cards myself, except through Pay Pal!!! Pay Pal is used for the protection of the customer and kirkscubagear.
 
 
For United States customers the choice is usually ground shipping via UPS and on some ocassions your order is shipped via USPS. UPS will not  ship to a US post box--your shipping will be changed to USPS. You are not charged the difference in shipping--- also my supplier sometimes changes the requested form of shipping for US customers.  All taxes/duty (if applies) are the responsibility of customers. 
 
kirkscubagear is connected with many distributors located in the United States. When a customer completes the check-out, shipping may appear to be high. This online builder (Tafiti) offers shipping rates as if all the orders come from the same location. That can't be changed with this website. If you believe your shipping rate to be very high for smaller items, please contact me.  All shipping is based upon weight (fins, BCD packages are heavy, snorkels are not!!!) Any time call me (519-641-4948) or e-mail me (diverdown@kirkscubagear.com) with any questions concerning your shipping charge--I will personally look up the rate for you---I will need a postal code or zip code.

You have opted to ship your product via United States Postal Service Priority Mail International. (USPS) Please understand that after your product leaves United States airspace, your product is no longer trackable and as such, I will not be liable if your product is lost or stolen in transit.
 
All shipments are checked by both an employee and supervisor, (of my supplier) and digitally weighed prior to shipping.

kirkscubagear is not responsible for losses or theft that occur after shipments have left the suppliers warehouse. Please inspect your packages for damage immediately when you receive it, and if you suspect that your package may have been opened, request an inspection with an official from the delivering agency prior to your acceptance of the shipment. Any claims for shipping damages/stolen products have to be made with the carrier that is delivering your shipment.

RETURN POLICIES!!!!

 
Returns will be accepted under two (2) conditions. (1) If the product is defective or (2) the wrong item was shipped (and the mistake was made by my suppliers), the customer will not be charged for return shipping costs. (refund purchase price + shipping or you will be sent a new product). The defective product must be returned. Once that defective product is returned, you will receive your new product.  I encourage customers to pay close attention to fitting charts to avoid returns for reason of fit.  If an item must be returned because it does not fit properly or you are unhappy with your purchase, it must be returned to me, Kathy @ kirkscubagear.
 
Refunds will not be issued for returned goods, if the product appears to have been used, marked or defaced in any way at all!!  
 
If the product is returned for any other reason than stated in the above paragraph, the customer is responsible for return shipping charges. Products must be returned in their original packing box and include all related literature.  You will be refunded your money only after I receive the product, not before. A refund will be issued back to you through pay pal.
 
The 1st and second stage of your regulator and/or octopus is assembled and tested for leaks before it ships out to you.
 
kirkscubagear strongly recommends that you test your reg and octo before you embark on a holiday. Rarely is there a problem, less than 1%, but should there be, a dive shop owner/operator can make a small adjustment for you--it sometimes needs a small turn or tightening.
 
There are many manufacturers of scuba gear in the world, and it is impossible for me to list every product of every manufacturer of the products that I do carry on my site.
