kirkscubagear is pleased to be a supplier of TrailHeads, started by Ed and Stephanie Raftery, and home to the Goodbye Girl Ponytail headband.

Working out of their tiny, one bedroom apartment they combined their savings with a grant from the NYS Commission for the Blind and Visually Handicapped in order to pull together thier first collection. They struggled through numerous production challenges and managed to get a handful of retailers to actually place orders.  But through it all they remained confident, at least most of the time, that they had some good ideas and a solid plan.  

Trailheads are committed to helping people overcome challenges of all kinds. With this in mind, they contribute 3% of their total sales annually of their sales to the National Sport Centre for the Disabled, Guiding Eyes for the Blind and The Breast Cancer Research Foundation.
