Greyhound is a forthcoming war/ocean movie directed by Aaron Schneider and starring Tom Hanks, who is also a screenwriter.
The film draws from the 1955 novel The Good Shepherd written by C. S. Forester. S. Wood. Stephen Graham, Rob Morgan, and Elisabeth Shue also appear. The film follows a U.S. Navy Commander during the Battle of the Atlantic on his first combat mission at the midpoint of World War II, as he leads his multi-national escort group in protecting a merchant ship convoy as a submarine attack.
Canadian Connection::
The pre-production photography took place on board HMCS Montréal, a Royal Canadian Navy frigate, at sea in January 2018.
It is scheduled for release in theatres on June 12, 2020.
